Millennium Access Control

Millennium access control is a security solution designed to protect your facilities and assets safely. It is an enterprise-class system with a low total cost of ownership.

Mobile Connect allows access with proximity cards or NFC tags that are securely managed through the Millenium access controls software platform and readily assigned to workers, students, or other authorized personnel by the administrator.

Security

Millennium access controls provides state-of-the-art security technologies with ingenious networking abilities to help protect a wide range of buildings. Access control policies can be applied to a single or thousands of doors across multiple campuses.

An identification thing (proximity card/fob or mobile credential) is assigned to each person who works or lives in a facility to give them access to specific floors at predetermined times. This is the most secure way to grant individuals entry to a building and is an excellent alternative to keying in.

Enhanced security features protect all users, including visitors and unauthorized personnel. These include visual audit logs for all access events, active directory–dual authentication, flexible reporting, and hardware status indicators.

The site control unit is a communications hub and memory buffer that works with Millennium devices (DCD/EDCDs & ECUs). It supports up to 100 DCDs and 4 ECUs on the RS-485 bus.

Flexibility

Millenium access control software is a highly flexible system that handles the most demanding requirements of any size installation. Users can customize features, integrations, hardware elements, 3rd party products, and systems accessories that fit their unique needs.

The Enhanced Site Control Unit (ESCU) is the communication hub of the Millennium access controls and has onboard memory to store events in the event of an off-line condition. Each ESCU supports up to 99 DCD/EDCDs or 4 ECUS and 10 ECUs and provides bi-directional communications using various supervised wiring methods, including daisy chaining, TTapping, Home Running, and high-security loopback.

The visitor management sub-system allows you to grant temporary access to visitors and create schedules to determine the length of time they can remain on-site. This is an excellent solution for rental properties, hotels, and sports facilities. The system operator can revoke credentials remotely, and the new Geo-Fencing tag offers an additional layer of security by activating only when a user is within range of the reader.

Mobile Connect

The Millenium access controls system offers a secure, convenient, and reliable method of opening doors connected to the access control system through an Internet-connected mobile device. It increases security and convenience, especially in areas where personnel might be away from the building or office, such as childcare centers, schools, hotels, or university campuses.

Our world-class Millennium access control software eliminates dedicated servers, software installations, and ongoing maintenance or backups with a cloud-hosted option. It is flexible enough to fit any size installation without compromising the features, capabilities, and reliability you expect from a stable on-premise solution.

The Millenium access control system is built to support various high-tech devices, such as biometric readers, wireless door handles, security intercoms, and DMP alarm systems. It also integrates with Rave emergency notification systems. Millennium’s enhanced site control unit (ESCU) supports bi-directional communication with DCD/EDCDs or ECUs through a supervised RS-485 connection. It controls up to 99 DCDs or ten elevator car relays when four units are cascaded on a single ESCU.

Geo-Fencing

Our Millennium access controls Ultra visitor management sub-system allows you to grant temporary access to facilities, doorways, and other areas of a site or building for visitors. This feature is easy to set up and can create schedules based on time, day, holidays, and other variables you configure.

Geofencing has become very popular in social media and with mobile devices, offering location-based marketing and ads. Examples include location-based filters for Snapchat and checking in at restaurants on Facebook. It also powers many child locator services and apps, alerting parents when their children leave or enter a specified zone.

However, using geofencing to track people can have privacy concerns. Larsen advises businesses to be transparent with consumers about what information is being collected and how it will be used. He also recommends relying on something other than this marketing strategy to reach your goals and mixing it with content targeting, retargeting, and other methods. These techniques can increase engagement and conversion rates.
